1. What is a cookie or similar technology?
A cookie is a small file stored on or read from a device when an online service is used. Other technologies can perform comparable functions. They may, in particular, enable the website to operate, remember a choice, measure an audience or load a service supplied by a third party.
2. Categories of cookies and similar technologies
2.1 Strictly necessary technologies
These technologies enable the operation or security of a service explicitly requested by the user. When they strictly satisfy the applicable exemption requirements, they do not require prior consent.
| Cookie or storage | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [TO BE INVENTORIED AFTER ACCEPTANCE TESTING] | [TO BE COMPLETED] | Operation, security or remembering a choice | [TO BE COMPLETED] | Necessary or to be reclassified |
WordPress administration cookies must not be presented as being placed on every visitor’s device if they apply only to authenticated users.
2.2 Audience measurement
[TOOL TO BE CONFIRMED] If Scale & Own enables an audience-measurement service, it will remain blocked until consent unless its actual configuration meets every condition of a documented exemption under the applicable law.
| Cookie or storage | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [TO BE INVENTORIED] | [TO BE COMPLETED] | Audience measurement | [TO BE COMPLETED] | [YES OR DOCUMENTED EXEMPTION] |
2.3 Videos, social networks and external services
An embedded video, external player, third-party form or social button may send information to the relevant provider. Where this operation uses non-essential technologies, the content must remain blocked until the visitor has made a choice.
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [VIDEOS TO BE CONFIRMED] | [TO BE COMPLETED] | Display the requested media | [TO BE COMPLETED] | Yes if non-essential technologies are used |
| [FORM TO BE CONFIRMED] | [TO BE COMPLETED] | Display and process the registration | [TO BE COMPLETED] | To be determined after testing |
2.4 Advertising and affiliate tracking
Scale & Own must declare advertising or affiliate technologies only when they are actually present. Their purpose, provider, duration and consent mechanism must be added after the technical inventory.
3. Accepting, refusing or withdrawing consent
On the first visit, the consent-management interface must make it equally easy to accept or refuse non-essential technologies. No technology that requires consent may be used before a positive choice.
Visitors must be able to change or withdraw their choice at any time through the [LABEL AND LOCATION OF LINK TO BE CONFIRMED] link available in the footer.
Refusal does not prevent access to content that does not technically depend on the refused service. External media may, however, remain unavailable until the technologies needed to load it have been accepted.
The duration for which the choice is stored will be set in the consent tool and reported here: [DURATION TO BE CONFIRMED].
4. Browser settings
Browsers can delete or block certain cookies. These settings may complement the choices offered on the website, but they do not replace Scale & Own’s consent mechanism for technologies that require it.
Current instructions are available in the help section of the browser being used. Deleting cookies may erase the stored choice and result in another request on a later visit.
5. Technical inventory and pre-launch checks
Before publication, run a scan in a fresh session in the following situations:
- first visit without interaction;
- refusal of all non-essential technologies;
- acceptance of all purposes;
- loading a video or third-party item;
- submission of the training waiting-list form;
- visit while signed out of WordPress and then while authenticated.
The observed list of cookies, local storage, third-party requests and durations must replace the temporary tables on this page.
6. International transfers
If a provider receives data outside the country or region in which the reader lives, the Privacy policy must identify the relevant country and the safeguards used under the applicable law. This information must be checked against each provider’s current contract and documentation.
7. Updates and contact
This policy will be updated when the technologies, providers or their configuration change.
For any question about cookies, similar technologies or your choices: [EMAIL ADDRESS TO BE COMPLETED].
